This book contains information about episodes 1-23, character guide, and song lyrics, as well as voice actor information. Apparently also gives a pattern for making Chuchu dolls! Japanese text.

Much more 'production' oriented than the Newtype special, this book features pretty much all of the commercial/advertisement art (the stuff you'd see in anime magazine layouts) produced for the movie, as well as a small spread of painted backgrounds from the film, and copies of production drawings. A small mix of television material is also included here as well as interviews with staff members.

Info: Fourth Utena soundtrack CD. This is mainly focused on original versions of several duel themes by the composer, J.A. Seazar. Seems to be hard to find 'authentic' versions of this particular CD these days, more than any of the others. Songs are paced and staged very differently than the TV series versions. Track 9 is titled "Adolescence Mokushiroku"- sound familiar? Ever Anime (a branch of Son May) has this CD out with a catalog number of A8-897; that version is a bootleg CD so be cautious in purchasing.

"Saa, Watashi to Engage (aka Engage Toi A Mes Contes)

Info: Double CD set. CD 1 is a mix of drama tracks and incidental music from the series, with alternate versions and tracks that did not appear on the previous 4. The first CD basically aims to retell the manga storyline of Utena from beginning to end; drama tracks include a short version of "Mittsu no Negai" as well as the climactic meetings between Utena and Akio. CD 2 is a 'best of' collection of songs from the (cough) renowned Utena Musical; these songs are professionally mixed and sound -much- better than their filmed counterpart; very enjoyable.

Bara Tamago Sosei Roku Sophia - Chuusei yo Yomigaere! (aka Utinam Reviviscat Medium Aevum!)

Info: These titles just get longer and longer, don't they... This is another J.A.Seazar CD, which contains music and choruses not used in any existing Utena production (that I know of as of right now anyway...). Contains the original versions of two tracks used in the movie in highly reworked forms. However, that said, I highly recommend this CD; dark, exotic and very polished, not nearly as rough or grating as OST4. First printings came with a translucent blue sticker with 'French' text: "ou l' Apocalypse de l' adolesence La Fillette Revolutionnaire Utena".

Info: The official soundtrack to the theatrical movie of the same name. Early printings came in a pink cardboard box with the title embossed in white text over an embossed rose signet. I'm not sure if later printings also had the box. The two duel theme tracks that appear on this CD are heavily reworked from the versions on OST 7, with a different chorus.

Info: Japanese only game for Sega Saturn, 2 discs. 'Dating sim' type game similar to Sakura Taisen- you play a new transfer student to Ohtori Academy. Several hidden plot paths, highly entertaining for hardcore fans. Original release includes two booklets- one color printed game manual and a thick black and white 'scenario' mini-book showing the production drawings for the new animation done for the game. A special gold foil card was also included with first release.

Info:Japanese replica of the duellist signet from the TV series. Japanese size 14 only- roughly equates to a size 8 US. Came in a small plastic box with the ring embedded in soft foam.

Rose Signet, Black:

Info: Japanese replica of the duellist signet worn by Mikage and the other Black Rose Duellists. Sometimes sold as a double set with the White signet, this is Japanese size 11, or US size 5. Other sizes may exist, though all I've ever seen is the size 11. Came in a small plastic box with the ring embedded in soft foam.

Rose Signet, Silver (Limited Edition?):

Info: Very rare rose signet; not to be mistaken with the movie signet which is darker and differently patterned. Appears to have been a special edition/limited release. Extremely ornate. Size 13 Japanese (7 US?) Comes in a silver box with a silver phone card labeled "To the Engaged One, I shall wait for you at the Duel Area this evening." in Japanese. Yet another awesome eBay listing find.

Flower Crest:
Released: 1997 or 1998

Info: Japanese replica of a metal item used to hold the rose in place on a duellist's chest during duelling. This item is rarer than the rose signets. The metal is soft, and is probably useful for cosplay, but it bends very easy and seems like it could break quickly under even slight stress. Comes in a small plastic case stuffed with black stuffing and an official Shogakukan sticker on the back. Seems to match the rose signet packaging- probably all same company.

Cowshtian Dior (aka Nanami's Cowbell):

Info: Japanese replica of the cowbell that Nanami so cherishes in one episode of the series. White with red chain (may be cloth?), and comes in special plastic "Cowshtian Dior" box. Like other jewelries, official items will have the Shogakukan sticker on the box. Another eBay discovery. This item is extremely rare.

Info: Two pins on a yellow card. (Oddly, backing features Saionji and Touga) Larger pin is pink with a black rose signet; says "I will show you the Ends of the Earth" in Japanese text in the center. Smaller support pin is a side profile of Shadow Girl C-ko in red on a black backing. Shogakukan sticker on the back of the card.

Rose Signet, Movie:

Info: Japanese replica of the rose signets worn by the Duellists of Ohtori Academy in the movie. Extremely ornate, not true-to-animation; came with a heavy chain. As I recall, the signet was too small to fit on a finger, so the chain was provided for wear.
